I read “People of the Book” and afterward started to look at icons from the fourteenth century. This stuff always knocks me out. She was the subject of some work I surfed through. Click to enlarge.

On a recent trip to the coast to visit a cousin, I caught this view as we crested the large sand dune. The weather was overcast and the temperature moderate with light breeze. It was a good walk on the beach and then over to the campground to see hundreds of free roaming bunnies. [...]

I respect anything that can survive in the harsh realities of the coastal northwest. Callalilies have what it takes and they are an iconic beauty like a nautilus shell. The cottage where we stayed in Yachats had these lovely plants framing many of their abodes.

Found this in the sketchbook. Wanted to do something free hand without the crutch of the pencil. Forgot how long my truck is or how short is the width of the page. Doesn’t matter, cause its still fun to drive. To drive short distances! It sighs everytime we pass a filling station.

This Mission Mill sketch/watercolor was done a bit ago, but I had not posted it here. It is my second watercolor and was viewed from the east end of the warehouse looking to the northwest. This motif view is one of my favorites and moving only a foot or two changes the buildings’ relationships drastically. [...]

Rearranged my things with a new Loxley’s palette. Certainly this will go through an adjustment period. I filled the center compartment with color and will have to put the travel brushes in another part of the kit. Here’s a list of the colors I have placed in the new Loxley 16 palette.
New Gambose, Cad Yellow, [...]

Here’ the current kit. Actually, in the watercolor palette are two Isabey travel #4 and #6 brushes with a Niji waterbrush and dirty folded paper towel. The half pans are W/N artists colors from Bromley’s. I want more! BTW, the palette is starting to looked messy and loved.
My two dollar pencil box has a g-2 [...]
